저녁 식사가 끝나자 뿔뿔이 흩어지는 식구들. 밥 숟가락을 들거나 움직이는 중에도 스마트폰에서 눈을 떼지 않는다. 결국 나도 어슬렁거리다가 컴퓨터 앞에 앉았다. 조치훈이 목숨을 걸고 둔다던 바둑. 밤이 이슥하도록 상대와 싸워 집을 넓히고 이겨도 흡족하지 않다. 참, 재미없다. 잠깐 거실로 나온 아이와 눈이 마주쳤다. 아이가 얼른 외면하고 세면실로 들어가 버린다. 무어라 말 건넬 틈을 주지 않고서. 내 표정이 딱딱해서였나. 이렇게 하릴없이 시간을 죽이며 주구장창 살아가야 한다면 그야말로 문제이다.

뉴욕 출신의 Indie pop 밴드인 Fun.은 Nate Ruess(보컬), Jack Antonoff(기타, 트럼펫), Andrew Dost(보컬, 키보드, 베이스, 드럼)의 3인조로 구성된 밴드이다. 정규 밴드라기보다 프로젝트 밴드이다. 즉, The Format 밴드에 Nate Ruess, Steel Train에 Jack Antonoff, Anathallo에서 활동했던 Andrew Dost가 구상해낸 밴드인데, 현재 The Format과 Anathallo는 해체한 상태이지만 Jack Antonoff가 소속된 Steel Train이 활동하고 있는 밴드이기 때문에 앞으로의 걸음에 관심을 갖지 않을 수 없다.

Fun.의 'We Are Young'(Ft. Janelle Monae.), 이 곡은 싱글로 2011년 10월 이미 발표되었다.
아울러 Fun.이 2012년 Fueled by Ramen 레이블로 옮기면서 낸 두 번째 앨범 Some Nights에 수록된 곡이기도 하다.
별로 알려지지 않았지만 미국 슈퍼볼에 배경음악으로 나오면서 인자되어 빌보트차트 1위까지 올랐다.
재미있는 가사와 동영상에서도 알 수 있듯이 fun을 추구하는 밴드이다.
