G.Verdi 의 오페라 'Nabucco'는 구약 열왕기 하에 등장하는 바빌로니아 왕 '느부갓네살'을 뜻한다. 시대적 배경은 나부코에 의해 예루살렘이 함락됐던 BC 587년이다.

이탈리아 국민가수 'Zucchero'(Aldelmo Fornaciari, 1956년생)는 '70년대 말 밴드로 가수 생활을 시작해 나중 Singer&SongWritter로 거듭났다. '86년 'Respetto'를 통해 공식 데뷔한 그는 두 번째 앨범 'Blue's'로 이탈리아 최고 가수로 올라선다. Eric Clapton 등이 참여한 '90년작 'Zucchero Fornaciari'로 세계적 지명도를 확보했다.

'87년 데뷔앨범 'The Lion And The Cobra'부터 '02년 'Sean-Nos Nua'에 이르는 커리어 내내 삭발 헤어스타일, 언제나 약자 편에 선 적극적 활동 등으로 뛰어난 아티스트임과 동시에 사회적 투사로서 사랑 받았던 아일랜드의 'Sinead O'Connor'는 대중음악계와 음반산업계에 지쳐 '03년 'She Who Dwells In The Secret Place Of The Mast High Shall Abide Under The Shadow Of The Almighty'라는 타이틀 앨범을 끝으로 공식활동을 마감하였다.
